In the late 90’s when the Indian market was set to become the fastest growing economies in the world, preventives healthcare would play an important role. This lured our founder Mr. Sanjay Kumar Kedia towards the vaccination industry and he started Kedia Pharma in the year 1988 in Hyderabad which is one of a kind distribution center for vaccines.
He tried to fill the gap in the market by understanding the importance of vaccine handling which involved round the clock chain management till the end point of consumption.
Cold Chain
It takes a chain of precisely coordinated events in temperature-controlled environments to store, manage and transport these life-saving products. This is called a cold chain.
Vaccines must be continuously stored in a limited temperature range – from the time they are manufactured until the moment of vaccination. This is because temperatures that are too high or too low can cause the vaccine to reduce its potency (its ability to protect against disease).
We at Kedia Pharma have state of the art infrastructure including temperature controlled walk in cold room which is on par with the norms prescribed by the IAP for cold chain management of vaccines
